Airtime vs. data bundles: which should you send?

When you top up a phone, you can usually send general airtime credit or a specific data bundle. Both arrive instantly; they just get used differently.

Send airtime when

• The recipient wants flexibility — calls, texts, or data.
• You're not sure what plan they're on.

Send a data bundle when

• They specifically need internet data.
• A bundle gives more megabytes per dollar than pay-as-you-go.
